2. What is Salvation and Why is it Necessary?

Salvation refers to being delivered from the consequences of sin. According to the scriptures, sin separates us from God. Isaiah 59:1-3 states, “Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear. For your hands are stained with blood, your fingers with guilt.”

This is where the concept of salvation through faith in Jesus the Messiah comes in. It is only through faith in Jesus, who died for our sins, that we can receive eternal life with God.

Jesus told His disciples, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you really know Me, you will know My Father as well. From now on, you do know Him and have seen Him.John 14:6-7

You may have tried many things in life without question. So, wouldn’t you quell your curiosity once and for all with the truth if you give it a try? Simply call out to Jesus as you position your heart to receive His love, forgiveness, and guidance.

Many have already understood the price Jesus paid for all of humanity to be saved from eternal damnation. Is it not time for you to surrender and choose to obey God’s call on your life to be a part of His family? He loves you from the time He decided to create you. You are His creation with perfections and imperfections–He loves you just as you are.

This is the most important thing you could ever do for yourself because it determines where you will spend your eternity. We all will live on after our physical life on earth is over. It’s a matter of where you will end up once your time here is up.

Do you prefer to spend eternity in hell with everything that you deserve will happen as a result of your disobedience to God? Or, do you prefer to spend eternity with a glorious new life knowing that you’ve learned to appreciate your Creator as you have spent quality time with Him now?

Call on Jesus to save you today and He will free you from all condemnation, guilt, and shame and deliver you to a brand new life worth living. Choose to follow His lead while you still can, because one day the door to His salvation will be permanently shut. Don’t be the outsider who wished they listened to His call. The time we think we have is not always on our side.
